Stress Management
Introduction
Stress is a process by which we change our behaviour in response to demands placed on us. Demands are referred to as stressors. Stress is often thought of as undesirable or unpleasant. This is unfortunate, because a certain degree of stress is needed in our lives or we can become apathetic and unstimulated. It is not stress per se that is problematic for us, but having too much or too little of it. The goal for each of us is therefore to find the optimum stress level that is right for us. This will vary from individual to individual and from time to time.
