Introduction
In today’s society, many people experience information overload. We are bombarded with messages to believe various ideas, purchase things, support causes, and lead our lifestyle in a particular way. How do you know what to believe? How do you separate the truth from the myths? How you ensure you made the right decision? How do you use creativity to solve problems?
The answer lies in thinking skills. The ability to clearly reason through problems and to present arguments in a logical, compelling way has become a key skill for survival in today’s world.
This course gives you practical and useful knowledge that you need in order to make the right decision the first time with critical and creative thinking, decision making and problem solving.
Learning Outcome
By end of this course you will be able to:
- Identify their critical thinking style(s), including areas of strength and improvement
- Use the critical thinking model to solve real problems
- Improve problem solving and decision making skills by identifying individual problem solving styles.
- Think creatively and work towards creative solutions.
Assessment
This course is designed to assess the following aspects up to creation based on Bloom`s taxonomy. Specifically, the assessment includes:
- Ability to recognize thinking styles
- Using group brainstorming to solve problems
- Making decisions using the problem solving tools
- Using critical thinking, problem solving and decision making to solve a real problem
